dr inż. Marcin Chełkowski, prezes zarządu firmy doradczej IVW Polska oraz członek zarządu Krajowej Izby Gospodarki Odpadami. Z wykształcenia jest inżynierem budownictwa oraz doktorem nauk ekonomicznych, od 30 lat związanym z gospodarką odpadami. Na początku kariery zawodowej pracował w niemieckich firmach związanych z gospodarką odpadami. Był wiceprezesem i prezesem zarządu Tatrzańskiego Przedsiębiorstwa Komunalnego TESKO Sp. z o.o. w Zakopanem. Od roku 2005 zajmuje się doradztwem w zakresie gospodarowania odpadami komunalnymi i projektowaniem zakładów gospodarki odpadami, w latach 2005-2010 i od roku 2018 w firmie IVW Polska, natomiast w latach 2010-2018 w brytyjskiej firmie inżynierskiej ARUP. Wykładowca akademicki w zakresie gospodarki odpadami (Politechnika Krakowska, Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza, Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University). Współautor monografii z zakresu gospodarowania odpadami, autor licznych artykułów w czasopismach branżowych. Członek Krajowej Izby Gospodarki Odpadami i Polskiej Izby Inżynierów Budownictwa. Posiada uprawnienia zawodowe w gospodarce odpadami dla zakresów kierowania składowiskami oraz kierowania spalarniami odpadów oraz uprawnienia budowlane.
Tomasz Jeleń – Chief Commercial Officer, Rohlig SUUS Logistics. Expert in logistics and supply chain management. Experienced manager. He has been overseeing the sales department at SUUS for 13 years. He has been active in the TSL industry since 2004. Graduate of the Cracow University of Economics.
Graduated the Poznań University of Technology at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, specializing in the Construction and Operation of Motorways. Has many years of experience in designing and executing complex infrastructure projects – including the A2 motorway construction project between Stryków and Warsaw, S5 Rawicz bypass, DK16 Borki Wielkie – Mrągowo, S7 Płońsk – Czosnów, S2 South Warsaw Bypass.
He has worked in the meat industry since 1996 and in the Goodvalley team since 2005. He has gained experience in various positions: both as a specialist in meat technology and as a person managing teams. His experience and practical knowledge are complemented by his educational background – he is a graduate of the Faculty of Food Technology at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, and also completed Executive MBA studies at the Poznań University of Economics and Georgia State University in Atlanta. As CEO of Goodvalley, he is responsible for the company’s operations. Due to his education and experience, he supports the production areas; due to his interests and acquired competences, he develops the company in the commercial sphere: sales and marketing. He is passionate about meat, its culinary and nutritional use (in 2002 he was awarded the prestigious title of Technologist of the Year), psychology in the field of team management and working with people, he is also interested in marketing in its broadest sense and the chain of phenomena behind consumer decision-making processes.
Bogdan Pilch – Manager with long experience in managerial positions in Polish and foreign companies in the energy sector (PGE Energia Odnawialna – President, GDF SUEZ – Vice President), gas sector (Gaz de France Poland – President, Statoil Poland – Director), production sector (H. Cegielski Poznan – President), finance (Magnus Brokerage House – President). Experience in management, preparation of development strategies and investment projects for many companies. Participation in the implementation of investment projects in conventional and renewable power industry, including obtaining financing for these projects. Knowledge and ability to cooperate with the authorities and local government and institutions from the business environment. Extensive experience in cooperation with the media and active participation in conferences, congresses and seminars.
President of the company listed on NewConnet – BeLeaf SA, the general contractor of Industrial Forests to reduce the carbon footprint. Author of the book entitled “Mathematical formula for success” and the publication “There was a forest, there was no us, there will be a forest, there will be no us”. The main shareholder and president of Blue Timber S.A.
PANEL 2: Green energy for industry
Waldemar Kamrat – full professor, Vice-Rector for Education and Development of the Gdańsk University of Technology (term: 2008–2012). Currently, Director of the Nuclear Energy Center of the Gdańsk University of Technology and professor at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering /Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Control, Gdańsk University of Technology. A graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology (1977) and the Faculty of Production Economics of the University of Gdańsk (1982). General Director of Mining, 3rd degree. He also completed specialized studies in the field of energy policy and efficiency in the USA, obtaining in 1996 a Certificate of the Institute for Young Investigators in Energy Efficiency – Berkeley/Washington DC. His scientific passion is the development of energy and its possibilities to stimulate the development of the economy. Specialist in comprehensive energy, combining three concepts – electricity, heating and gas. He has been associated with the Gdańsk University of Technology for over 40 years, but at the same time he worked in industry for many years in managerial positions, building energy facilities (in Poland and abroad). He held a number of top management positions in the industry, especially in the energy industry (in the management and supervisory boards of large energy companies. Author of 4 monographs and approximately 250 publications and scientific studies in the field of power engineering and energy management.
Graduated from Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics Faculty at Łódź Technical University. Post graduate studies on Medical Images Processing at University College Hospital in London. In 1991 employed by Siemens Sp. z o.o. as a Head of Sales in Medical Department and finally Head of Industrial Solutions & Services Department. Responsible for “turn-key” applications of Siemens solutions for industry. In 2009 offered a position of CEO at Veolia Water Technologies Sp. z o.o., a Polish subsidiary of the French Veolia Environment. In 2019 took a position of CEO at SEEN Technologie Sp. z o.o. the leading company on a water treatment market in Poland.
Graduate of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology where he studied at the faculty of management and the University of Economics in Wrocław where he studied at the faculty of corporate finance and accounting. He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) title. He has been associated with the energy sector for over 10 years. He has extensive experience, including in the field of preparing business strategies, assessing investment and development projects, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, as well as creating business plans for many companies from Central Europe and the Middle East.
In life and at KFA Armatura, she is committed to promoting eco-activities. She initiated and led the project to issue the first (and subsequent) sustainability report in the company’s more than 100-year history. CSR activities have been with her since her university days: she defended her master’s thesis “Corporate Social Responsibility. Action strategy in the SME sector.” in 2006 at the Jagiellonian University. On a daily basis, the philosophy of less waste is close to her, both in her private and professional life. With the KFA Armatura brand, she is strongly active in the area of environmental education, also among nursery and school children.
PANEL 3: Extended Producer Responsibility
Managing Partner of CSR Consulting, an expert in the field of sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda – professionally related to the topic for nearly 25 years. Małgorzata was on the list of 25 Polish leaders of sustainable development announced by ForbesWomen. She has extensive experience in creating strategies and building the business context for the ESG activity of companies in Poland. Originator of the 17 Goals Campaign and enthusiast of joint business projects for the Sustainable Development Goals. Initiator of the Polish Plastic Pact. Propagator of new trends and innovative solutions in the field of sustainable development. She loves new models and system solutions.
Graduated in Social Sciences from the University of Wrocław and the Warsaw School of Social Psychology. He started his career in the FMCG industry and then gained experience in the banking sector, where he worked for CitiBank for many years. He passionately conducted trainings, workshops and coaching and managed teams of customer advisors and realtors. He managed a number of banking branches and a sales office in the retail customer department. He developed a nationwide sales network related to aid funds from the European Union. A practitioner who skilfully navigates the field of human resources management. For many years, he actively created and developed a network of financial intermediaries, thus expanding sales channels in banks. In recent years, he has been involved in the optimisation and implementation of modern solutions in the area of waste management. Currently, he is one of the people responsible for the implementation of the innovative Nationwide Programme for the Collection of UCO from households.
Michał Mikołajczyk – lawyer, volunteer and employee of the Polish and International Red Cross, postgraduate studies in CSR at the Kozminski University. Since 2004, he has been associated with Rekopol Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań S.A. Author of many projects and campaigns promoting waste segregation and conscious shopping, e.g. the nationwide campaign “Day without Garbage”. Organizer of projects in the field of “green CSR” carried out jointly by entrepreneurs, local government, waste management companies, non-governmental organizations. Sales and marketing director since 2009, proxy since 2014. Participant in the work on the Circular Economy Package conducted by BusinessEurope in Brussels and on the concept of packaging and packaging waste management in Poland. Speaker and panelist at numerous conferences and seminars on, among others, Extended Producer Responsibility and the UN 2030 Agenda.
Dr inż. w dziedzinie nauk inżynieryjno technicznych w dyscyplinie inżynieria środowiskowa, górnictwo i energetyka. Od 20 lat związana zawodowo z gospodarką odpadami. Zainteresowania naukowe dotyczą zagadnień związanych z gospodarowaniem produktami i odpadami. Autor wiodący i współautor publikacji w czasopismach znajdującym się w bazie JCR oraz innych publikacjach Uniwersyteckich. Jest autorem wielu doniesień konferencyjnych, wystąpień panelowych i forum dyskusyjnych. Autor metodyk i kierownik wielu projektów związanych z gospodarką produktami i odpadami, GOZ czy legislacją prawną. Zawodowo związana z IOŚ-PIB, pełni funkcję kierowniczą Ośrodka Zrównoważonego Rozwoju.
PANEL 4: Polish Industry Round Table – Debate of sector leaders
CEO, Metroplan Polska Sp. z o.o., Wrocław, Poland Experienced in realisation of big, international industrial projects, especially in the fields of new location development, logistics consulting, planning and design of new production and logistics infrastructure, costs optimisation and comprehensive project management. Interested in implementation of new management strategies and organisation structures, as well as negotiations and dealing with unpredictable situations, where finding new solutions requires development of new approaches and procedures. Managed a number of big projects on three continents – Europe, America and Asia, with excellent feedback from the clients. Responsible also for managing a team of architects, engineers and construction and logistics consultants at the Polish branch of Metroplan Group in their two offices, in Wrocław and Warsaw. Graduated in Logistics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Ireneusz Borowski has been Country Manager at Dassault Systèmes since July 2019. In this position, he is responsible for strengthening the local presence and expanding Dassault Systèmes’ market position in Poland. Ireneusz Borowski joined Dassault Systèmes in 2008 and until now, holding the position of Senior Manager Sales & Business Development Eastern Europe, he prepared business development plans for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and managed sales in Eastern Europe. Previously, in his position as Senior Sales Manager Eastern Europe, Partner Success Management EUROCENTRAL, he managed sales in indirect channels. Ireneusz Borowski started his professional career in 1998 at AutoR KSI, then worked as Account Manager and Special Program Manager at CNS Solutions. In 2000, he joined Premium Technology as Product Manager and was involved at various management levels for the next 8 years. Ireneusz Borowski is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, with a degree in Vehicle and Heavy Machinery Engineering.
Board Representative for ESG, Director of ESG and Compliance Office, Impel Group ESG and compliance expert. Manager with more than 20 years of experience working in listed companies and smaller organisations. He is a compliance officer (ACO), an expert in the identification, detection and prevention of economic crime and corruption, an internal auditor of the information security system in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2017-06 and a Personal Data Inspector. He is a Board Member at the Central European Chamber of Commerce and a Founding Member at the Compliance Practitioners Association. An economist by education. He holds a master’s degree from the Wrocław University of Economics and a postgraduate degree from the Warsaw School of Economics.
A graduate of the Cracow University of Technology and the Higher School of Business in Nowy Sącz. After his studies, he worked as an engineer at POLGRAPH in Nowy Sącz, and since 1994, he has been employed at FAKRO, where he is a key member of its founding team. He began as the Head of the Promotion and Advertising Department, and in 2008, he became the Marketing Director for Poland. Currently, he is a member of the Management Board of FAKRO sp. z o.o. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Building Research Institute in Warsaw, appointed by the supervising minister. Since 2008, he has served as the President of the Management Board of the Polish Windows and Doors Association (Polskie Okna i Drzwi), an organization that brings together manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors of building joinery. Thanks to the joint efforts of FAKRO and the Polish Windows and Doors Association under the leadership of President Janusz Komurkiewicz, the building joinery industry has been recognized as a Polish export specialty and has been included in a special program by the Ministry of Economy – the Sectoral Promotion Program. In his private life, he is an avid skier and sailor. He also pursues his sports passions through his professional activities. As part of FAKRO’s marketing efforts, he has organized events such as the Polish Skiing Championships for the Construction Industry, the World Skiing Championships for Roofers, and the Polish Sailing Championships for the Construction Industry.
Since 1991, he has been working in managerial positions in the area of sales and management in large international companies, mainly in the segment of building materials. He has been working for Nordkalk for 14 years, including the position of President of the Management Board of Nordkalk Sp. o.o. Since 2019, he has been the vice president of the Nordkalk group responsible for the Central Europe region.

Graduate of the MBA programme at the Wrocław University of Economics. He has been involved in sales and marketing for over 20 years, resulting in participation in over 100 projects carried out for the IT, TSL, e-commerce and insurance sectors. He has experience in managing large marketing and sales teams, controlling and implementing customer-focused process performance measurement systems. Most of the projects he has completed have been for technology companies and services operating in the SaaS model.
A graduate of the Jagiellonian University. He completed postgraduate studies in the field of environmental protection at the Cracow University of Technology. In 2017 he obtained a diploma in Business Management (MBA), and in 2020 he graduated from the Krakow University of Economics with an MBA in Community Management. He is a co-author of municipal anti-smog resolutions, he supported actions for sustainable transport based on bicycle infrastructure. He cooperates with NGOs, associations, institutions promoting the struggle for clean air. Fellow of the International Leadership Program (IVLP) on Best Practices in Air Quality Improvement, organized by the U.S. Department of State.
